ThermoSense is an application to demonstrate the capabilities of the ThermoSense node, a thermal array for the prediction of zone occupancy. Primarily, this prediction is useful in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) within large buildings. It will be running live during the SenSys2013 and BuildSys2013 conferences, located in Rome, Italy.

This application will help show the ability to measure occupancy in real-time with thermal sensor array and how this information can be integrated with a real building management system to control the zone’s HVAC and lighting to optimize energy usage. In this application, we will show all the useful data, gathering from Thermo-Sense in two real-time and data stored modes. As a result, users will be familiar with exactly what is going on during the demonstration.
