The «Smart Mobility Week Thessaloniki: the future of Intelligent Transport Systems" is organized by the Region of Central Macedonia and the Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT) of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), in collaboration with the Municipality of Thessaloniki.The event aims at:  • Demonstrating of intelligent transport systems applications that various organizations and authorities operate in the city and the positive effects that these applications have on the everyday life of the citizen so as to be known and easily accessible by the users. • Exchanging of views between competent organizations and authorities and representatives of foreign organizations, on methods of cooperation and the formulation of policy priorities and actions for the continued development of such systems in the future and the consolidation of smart mobility in Thessaloniki. • Highlighting the way in which the achievement of smart sustainable mobility can support the development of innovative entrepreneurship in the city. • Establishment of cooperation with foreign institutions that maintain their leadership in the development and implementation of Intelligent Transport Systems and identifying opportunities to raise additional funding sources for Thessaloniki in the initiatives of Europe for the development of smart cities of the future.Each day of the week there will be open, to the public and stakeholders, events, workshops and demonstrations,.
