Third Day is a multi platinum, multi Grammy award-winning, multi Dove award-winning contemporary Christian Rock band, having no less than 25 No 1 singles and has played to millions of fans in numerous sold-out arenas around the world. Third Day got together in Mariette, Georgia in the early 1990s, being founded by lead singer Mac Powel, guitarist Mark Lee and former member Billy Wilkins. There are two other band members - bassist Tai Anderson and drummer David Carr. The name ‘Third Day’ comes from the bible and refers to Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the grave on the third day after being crucified by the Romans.

Third Day released their first album in 1995 Third Day with independent company Grey Dot Records, selling over 20,000 copies. Reunion Records quickly snapped them up shortly afterwards and they released ‘Third Day’ which became a best seller having sold over 300,000 copies.

Now with multi awards, numerous stunning album releases two of which are platinum sellers - Offerings: A Worship Album and Live Wire and a huge loyal fan base, Third Day have established them selves as an all time Christian Rock bank, in fact this is what Billboard magazine had to say - "not only one of the best Christian bands of the '90s but one of the best rock bands, period.”
