Each time you transact commercially with a business, that business may have your personal details.

The Malaysian Government enacted the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) in 2010 to give you the right to know what information, if any, that business have on you. (Please note that as provided for in the Act, a fee is chargeable when you make such requests to access your data)

This Trade Reference Self Check Application (TRSC) is designed to allow you to

1. Request access to your personal information from thousands of participating businesses of the TRSC across different industries in Malaysia from your PC or smart phone.

2. Request the merchant to update or correct your personal data, if required.

3. Be notified by these businesses of changes in the manner they process your data

To ensure it is you that is requesting for access, your identity needs to be authenticated. For this purpose, we collaborate with CTOS Data Systems Sdn Bhd a registered Credit Reporting Agency under the purview of the Ministry of Finance of Malaysia. In other words, we use your CTOS User ID (CID) for identification as an independent third party check of your identity.
