True Color Free: Stroop Effect - You have only one second to determine if the color meaning matches the color displayed.
True Color Free is a fast paced mind bending color game that will confuse you and possibly make you rage.
Do you know your right brain tries to say the color but your left brain insist to say the word.
You should make the right choice based on what you see in a short time. Be careful when the color not match the text.
True Color, stay focused on what you read! True Color Free is a game inspired by the Stroop effect.
What Is The Stroop Effect?
In psychology, the Stroop effect is a demonstration of interference in the reaction time of a task. When the name of a color (e.g., "blue," "green," or "red") is printed in a color not denoted by the name (e.g., the word "red" printed in blue ink instead of red ink), naming the color of the word takes longer and is more prone to errors than when the color of the ink matches the name of the color. The effect is named after John Ridley Stroop who first published the effect in English in 1935. The effect has been used to create a psychological test (Stroop test) that is widely used in clinical practice and investigation. - Wikipedia
Some players use the game as a color blindness test
Even if you're testing how color blindness affects results of the Stroop test, I'd imagine that the main difference will only be that colorblind people will misname the colors they have trouble differentiating, which is obvious given their condition.
Of course, if what's being tested is instead whether colorblind people perform as well as non colorblind people in naming the color and not reciting the text, you'd have to make sure that various perception-related celebral functions per group are roughly equal, which would be difficult (i.e., if the non-colorblind people chosen for this experiment turn out to be extremely careless people, the test results may indicate that colorblind people are not tricked as easily by the Stroop test--a conclusion that may not be accurate due to confounding variables). - color blindness test
