Messages in Twitter propagate based on the 'following' mechanism. In this way, each user builds his 'network' of communications. But are we restricted within our own 'networks' ? Perhaps we may miss something interesting which is outside our 'cluster' ? This is how the main idea of this project was born: to run real time statistical analysis and data mining on the public Twitter message stream and derive 'what is hot now', to decompose messages and monitor interesting hashtags and web links. We do not intend to repeat functionalities already available in Twitter itself, but we try to implement what is not available yet.

This mobile application connects to our cloud server, retrieves from there the results of our real time analysis of the Twitter message stream and allows you to monitor on your mobile the following: Twitter rates per continent, currently most active countries, top hashtags, mentions and web links per language, time evolution graphs for top hashtags and web links, 'hot keywords' in categorized tweets like from news agencies, financial, technology and sport related sources.
