Supported by the City of Detroit under a grant from the Department of Defense Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP), ABVote allows any Uniformed and Overseas Citizen to register annually with the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) form and to request access to an absentee ballot, and to submit a Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot (FWAB) at the same time easily.

In addition, it provides an advanced experience in mobile voting. Now, anyone can have an opportunity to test this free app in a mock election environment. Your feedback will influence the development of the next-generation of absentee voting systems, and will be appreciated tangibly by our rewards program. The Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act (or MOVE Act) led to the creation of this app for absentee Uniformed or Overseas Citizen (UOCAVA).

• Utility: Apply to become a registered voter if qualified as a Uniformed or Overseas Citizen (UOCAVA). Use this App to submit a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) as well as to mark and submit a Federal Write-in Absentee Ballot (FWAB). The ballot you’ll mark at this time is only for the Mock Election, demonstrating the potential of this system.

• Efficiency: Reduce the whole voting process down to less than 10 minutes versus the weeks required for conventional mailed absentee ballots. You will be able to access, mark ballot, sign the forms, online cover sheet or envelope using your finger tip on your Smartphone screen and submit your ballot all together.

• Interactivity: Contact your Election administrator online. Give us your feedback in our survey.

• Security: Set up an App-PIN number to protect your personal information. You can either clear your personal data or save it for the future use in actual elections. You will be able to re-submit your FPCA or FWAB for each election without re-entering your personal data again.

• Rewards: Complete the Mock Election and Survey, then you will have an opportunity to win a reward! If refer the App to your friends, you will have more rewards. One thousand rewards will be paid out.
