Blazing Skies is a fully 3D game where you place weapons to defend your base against incoming enemy threats. As your weapons defeat enemies they gain experience, which is spent on upgrading damage, range, and rate of fire. The defensive weapon systems are persistent from level to level, allowing you to develop your arsenal over the course of the entire game.

In addition to upgrading your defensive weapon systems properties, the systems upgrade through past, present, and future technology used by the US Army Air Defense Artillery (ADA). At the same time the enemies increase in difficulty, ranging from helicopters and jets, to TBMs and cruise missiles.

To improve your defenses further you can obtain bonus upgrades, which can then be applied to your weapons. They are awarded for beating levels without your base taking damage, achieving a high score, and using fewer weapons. You can also obtain them by completing achievements and scanning in special ADA Cards.

The ADA Cards give information about the 9 weapon systems in the game, the 8 ADA Units, and 7 important members of the ADA. These cards also have Augment Reality properties, which will allow you to view the in game models and graphics overlaid on the real world. These limited edition cards will be available at select OCADA recruiting events, as well as periodically on the website.

A data section of the game gives detailed information about the base properties of each weapon system in the game, as well as in the real world. Answering questions based on this data will complete achievements and award bonus upgrades.
