Swipe to move tiles. When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into one (2+2=4, 4+4=8 etc.). However, if you merge 32 + 16, the new tile 48 is created and it disappears from board but fragment of the image is uncovered. So, you should avoid merging 32 and 16 if you want to create tiles with higher numbers.

If you reach the goal, then whole image is uncovered and you can proceed to next level.

You can return to the level that you achieved.
