This calculator will help you determine an UNKNOWN CONTROL KEY is for the A2 cylinder you’re currently decoding as well as the other cylinders in that are in the system. We provide you with 2 totally different methods to determine the control key of the cylinder in question. The first method is designed to determine what the control key is by just using the driver pins. This calculation works perfectly providing the original locksmith set up the system properly and did his or her due diligence and made sure that the pin stack is 23 in each silo. Now we all know that there are some locksmiths out there that want to “trip other locksmiths up” by not putting their pin stack height to 23. Some use pin stacks of 21, 22, or even 24.
Well rest assured that we took that possibility into consideration as well. By using what we call “The Other Method” you will be able to determine what the control key is for certain by filling in your bottom pins, master pins, and buildup pins. Then the control key will be revealed. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE ALL THE PINS TO THE CYLINDER YOU ARE DECODING. We highly recommend using Lab’s LICCB Annex IC Core Service Center or some other equivalent way to contain all pins from each silo. By using this tool or equivalent you will be able to capture all pins and then decode what each pin is. Which will allow you to make a working control key for the cylinder and cylinders in question.
