Virtuoso is an abstract music-app created by Danish composer Anders Monrad - The user can act as a performer - a virtuoso in his own right - with this app, calling for a bit of choreography from the user. By moving the device around, while touching down one or multiple fingers on the screen, the user can control and manipulate 5 different electronic sounds, all of them refering to classical electronic music, in the vein of Karlheinz Stockhausen, Morton Subotnick and others.While activating and selecting each desired sound, the user generates a 15-second musical composition and a simple graphical user interface, from a build-in algorithmic composition-setup. This composition will play with the selected sounds, whenever the fingers are released from the screen.
