I developed the Vocab Hamster in order to make the creation of word lists for vocabulary learning much much easier. Instead of sitting down and preparing a long list of vocabulary you can just go out into the world with your phone (which you have with you anyway).

Words which you want to learn can be added by taking a picture of something you see, recording a sound (spoken language or any other sound) or, if you have nothing to photograph, by entering the word as text. Over time you will build your vocabulary list without even noticing it and those words will be much easier to remember since you connect them with all those locations you have been to.

Another important feature is the review mode. Once you have added words to your vocabulary, you can use your phone to test your learning progress. Of course the review modes also reflect the possibilities of the application, namely asking by photo, recorded sound or simple text.
