Voice Butler is your personal butler that helps you with taking photos, starting a timer, creating appointments, setting an alarm, remind you of tasks, and much more - simply by using your voice. There is no need to open the app first. The voice commands are integrated into the phone, simply press and hold the windows key from the start screen or lock screen, and say commands like:

Please note: In WP 8.1 you must use the search button instead of the Windows button to activate voice commands.

- Butler take a photo in 10 seconds

- Butler take 2 pictures in 15 seconds

In this case, Voice Butler will count down the specified number of seconds and take the photo(s). Photos are automatically saved to the camera roll.

Utility commands:

- Butler timer 10 minutes

- Butler alarm 4:15 PM

- Butler flashlight on

- Butler battery status

- Butler tell me when my battery is charged

- Butler wifi | airplane | bluetooth | cellular

Reminders can be created by saying

- Butler Create new reminder

This opens the app, and you can say, e.g., “buy milk on Tuesday at 8:30 PM”

Butler also has support for appointments:

- Butler what appointments do I have on Tuesday?

- Butler what are my appointments for next week?

- Butler create new appointment on Tuesday at 6:30 PM

You can also ask Butler about the weather:

- Butler how is the weather on Friday?

- Butler is it going to rain tomorrow in San Francisco?

- Butler what is the temperature in Copenhagen?

English, Spanish, Russian, or German must be set as the Speech language in the phone settings. The general language/region can however be set to what you prefer.
