What is it?

Where Are You Now SMS enables you to allow trusted people to request and receive your location through SMS.

Why would I use it?

Great tool for keeping track of children, to help you find where you parked your car, or locating a lost phone. It is also usable on phones that do not have internet access, since all communication is done as a SMS message.

How it works.

You can send your location to those in your trusted list, and those in your trusted list can request your location. All done through SMS messages.

How do I find my lost phone?

So you have lost your phone, and now you need to find it. You can use Google Play to provision the application for your phone, as long as the phone is still powered and can still receive SMS messages. Once the tool is installed, it will answer any location request by sending the SMS message "WAYN" to the device.

How do I use it to remember where I parked?

It is simple to save your location when you park your car. The first step is to enter your cell phone number in your list of trusted numbers in the WAYN SMS setting. You can now send your location to yourself, along with a note to help you find the message and where you parked.

How do I use it to find my children?

The first step is to enter your cell phone number in your list of trusted numbers in the WAYN SMS setting or keep the Anyone entry on the child's phone. You then send the message "WAYN" to the child's phone. The child's phone will then message back to the sender the phone's location.

What's the catch?

No registration or any external web sites required or used, and all information is passed over SMS. The trusted requester simply texts WAYN to your phone number and the trusted requester will receive the location. The requester will be provided the location information that is available to the location provider used. The GPS provider returns the coordinates, height, accuracy, bearing and speed of the device. The network provider can provide coordinates and accuracy. The coordinates are provided conveniently as a Google Maps link.
