Wind Race is for the amateurs in windsurfing, kitesurfing, other kinds of sailing sports.

Starting procedure

The "start" button launches countdown. The program produces sound beeps, vibrating signals. Countdown digits are shown on the display. The countdown helps to cross the start line on a full speed in the right moment.

GPS data

The program displays current, average and maximum speeds, direction, location coordinates, passed time and distance. All this data displayed after the countdown is completed. The "stop" button switches program to its initial state and displays the report (time, distance, max and avg speeds).

SOS signals

The "SOS" button allows you to send the SOS message to the recipient (see settings) via SMS. Your location and a text (taken from settings) are sent in the message.

The special service is always running to listen for the incoming SOS messages. The icon at the top left corner of the screen is shown when the service is running. The service itself is only waiting for the incoming SOS messages and does not consume energy. The service notifies You with the beep and vibration upon SOS receiving. More over you can click to the notification to see the sender's location on Google Maps. Be aware that the Google Maps uses the internet connection
