Did you know . . .
An early variant of tic-tac-toe was played in the Roman Empire, around the first century BC. It was called Terni Lapilli, and instead of having any number of pieces, each player had only three, thus they had to move them around to empty spaces to continue playing. This is a modern version of tic-tac-toe, but you can still play as X or O.
Interesting Facts:
When considering only the state of the board, and after taking into account board symmetries (i.e., rotations and reflections), there are only 138 terminal board positions. Assuming that X makes the first move every time, 91 unique positions are won by X, 44 unique positions are won by O and 3 unique positions are drawn.
Doge is an Internet meme that became popular in 2013. The meme typically consists of a picture of a Shiba Inu dog, often with text written in multicolored Comic Sans MS in the foreground. The text is deliberately written in broken English, following the format of "such x", "much x", "many x", "very x" and "so x". The word "wow" is also commonly used.
Grumpy Cat is the nickname given to an angry-looking snowshoe cat that rose to fame online after its pictures were posted to Reddit in late September 2012. The cat is also known as “Tard,” which is short for Tardar (Tartar) Sauce.
Courage Wolf is an image macro series derived from the original Advice Dog series. In contrast to Advice Dog, who might unknowingly lead you to do something you’ll regret, Courage Wolf will help you achieve greatness with often extreme, overwhelming advice.
