Ever need help on a crossword puzzle or Words with Friends (or Scrabble)? Wordl to the rescue!Wordl helps you find words that match a specific pattern. There are only two tools at your disposal, but they are very powerful. They are ? and *. The ? tool will match exactly one character. If you enter the pattern [c?t], Wordl will match "cat", "cut", etc. If you enter [c??t], Wordl will match "cent", "cart", "clot", etc.The * tool will match any string of characters. If you enter the pattern [*rt], Wordl will match all words that end in "rt", regardless of length.If you start a pattern with a letter (or letters), the words that are returned will start with that letter (or letters). If you end a pattern with a letter (or letters), the words that are returned will end in that letter (or letters).As a more complex example: the pattern [?rt*ly] will return all words that start with any single letter, followed by the "rt" literal. That's followed by any string of letters, and the word must end in "ly". These include words like "arterially" and "orthographically" among many others.Note about the dictionary: the included dictionary is not limited to any one game, so some words will not work in certain games.
