Kim Junsu (Hangul: 김준수; Hanja: 金俊秀; born 15 December 1986; registered on 1 January 1987), also known by his stage name Xiah (pronounced "see-ah") or Xia Junsu, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and stage actor. Best known as a former member of popular South Korean boy band TVXQ, he's currently active as one of the member of pop group JYJ.

Junsu debuted in 2003 under SM Entertainment, one of the biggest record label and talent agency in South Korea. As a member of TVXQ, he has released four Korean albums, four Japanese albums, thirty Japanese singles and several Korean singles. In July 2009, Junsu and fellow TVXQ members at the time Kim Jaejoong and Park Yoochun filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment, arguing that their exclusive contracts were unilaterally disadvantageous towards the artists and should be invalidated. The Seoul Central District Court ruled in favor of the three and granted an injunction suspending their contracts in October 2009. Junsu subsequently debuted as a member of JYJ (formerly known as JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN in Japan). As JYJ, he has released one English album, one Korean album, one Japanese and one Korean EPs. Junsu began his stage career in 2010 playing Wolfgang Mozart, the lead role in musical Mozart!. The same year, he released a Japanese solo single titled Xiah. In May 2012, he released his first full-length solo studio album, Tarantallegra and followed up the release of the album with a world tour.

2012-present: Elisabeth and solo album

On 16 April, through his current management agency, C-JeS Entertainment, Junsu announced he will be releasing his first ever full-length solo album in May and with its release will be holding concerts within Korea, as well as an Asia tour. For this solo album, Junsu directly took part in the production, composing and writing lyrics for most of the songs. His coming Asia tour begins on the 19th and 20 May at Seoul's Jamsil Indoor Stadium. After the Seoul concerts, he will be visiting Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong. After releasing two album teasers, C-JeS Entertainment released a video teaser for the album's title track "Tarantallegra", which is also the title of the album. On 13 May, a day before the album release, "Tarantallegra"'s music video was published in full. In the music video, Junsu shows a drastic transformation into a completely new image. To date (August), he has sold over 130,000 copies of his album, becoming one of the highest selling solo albums on Gaon chart.

Junsu was awarded the "Popular Star Award" at the 6th The Musical Awards held in Seoul on June 4th. It was the third consecutive year he received the award.

Junsu won his first "Best Actor" award for his performance as Der Tod in musical Elisabeth at the 18th Korean Musical Awards, held on October 29th.

On February 25, 2013, Junsu (as JYJ) performed at South Korea's current president Park Geun-hye's inauguration ceremony held at the National Assembly Building’s Center Plaza, in front of more than 70,000 people.
