These cows have been carefully selected so that they have a good milk supply, gentle disposition and produce calves that have a high marbling ability. The calves spend the first 9 months suckling the cow. They are then weaned and grown out on the lush Mitta Valley pastures over the next 21 months. Some of the cattle are grain supplemented to increase the marbling.
