Endless night pits the hero, his flashlight, a hand gun and a few more accessories against a horde of zombies. Gameplay is top down 2d and the objective is simply to survive as long as possible. In the short term, you must find the door on the right or left side that leads you to safety. Long term, try to make it to daylight.

Each time you make it out of the street into a safehouse, you gain fifteen minutes of rest before being forced out into the next street. Each time, one of the six available doors is randomly the one to bring you to safety.

Keep an eye on your stamina, if it's at zero and a zombie attacks you, you die.

There's a hound that chases you around and once he finds you his bark draws the zombies to you. There's also a big spitter zombie whose vomit slows you down for a time.

You can use your gun to kill your enemies, but be careful the sound will draw the zombies to that spot. You can use your flashlight to increase your field of vision but it uses battery and zombies can spot you from further away. Even walking and running draws them to you if they are close enough.

There's a flare gun that gives you an immediate view of your surroundings so use it wisely.

There's also a radio that emits white noise, attracting zombies to it for ten seconds in case you need to escape.

Finally, you can sometimes find police armor to protect you against zombie attacks but it gets destroyed fairly quickly.

Each second you survive raises your score, each item you find also adds to it. When you do eventually die, compare how you stacked up with others and see if you can make it through an endless night...
