Zoomy - New Zealand’s taxi booking app

The Zoomy passenger and driver app finds you the closest taxis where ever you happen to be, then tells the driver you need a ride. You can even book a cab up to three days in advance.

The Zoomy taxi booking app is currently available in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch with more cities coming soon. It's also available for taxi drivers whose Authorised Taxi Association (ATO) has signed up to be a Zoomy partner.

Check out some of the awesome things the Zoomy app can do for passengers:

• Find a taxi by setting your location on a map and clicking the order button;

• See a picture of your driver, their name and even the licence plate of their car;

• Track your cab’s route as it heads towards you on the map;

• Receive an alert when the driver arrives at the door;

• Book your taxi up to three days in advance;

• Rate and provide feedback on your driver when your ride is complete;

• Receive a complete invoice with all your taxi ride details via email – no more pesky paper receipts!

Zoomy also offers drivers with loads of ways to get more work:

• Zoomy finds you jobs wherever you happen to be, and sends them straight to your smartphone;

• You get to spend less time waiting and more time getting jobs;

• The app keeps a track of all your rides, kilometres and – more importantly – how much money you have earned;

• All you need is an Android phone to start using Zoomy;

• You’ll receive the passenger’s destination and pickup address before accepting the job;

• Choose your shift hours and get helpful alerts when your shift should begin and end.

Remember drivers: if you want to get jobs quickly please keep the app open at all times during your shift. Use a phone cradle for safety and keep your phone plugged in to ensure the battery is fully charged.
