esmi is an experience sampling and activity recording system designed for longitudinal studies with high continued participant engagement. When you first open the esmi app you'll be asked for a study code. If you're participating in a study, enter the study code provided to you by the study team. If you're a researcher and would like to evaluate esmi for use on a project, you may obtain an evaluation study code by contacting us at esmi@senti.us.Esmi makes it easy to deliver custom questions and questionnaires to research participants as they go about their daily lives, with minimal interruption and very low effort to respond. Participants are anonymous by default, and neither participants nor their mobile devices are ever identified on our servers. Researchers may choose to mark individual participants by assigning them unique study codes, or may offer a single study code to all participants to maintain anonymity. Participant pools may be carefully selected and controlled with single use study codes, limited by controlling the number of active participants using a study code, or unlimited.Custom protocols allow a full range of options for scheduling and selection of questions, including:- routine delivery of questions and question sets at specified times - randomized scheduling of delivery within time windows- randomization of questions and question order within delivered sets- notifications and expiration management for delivered questions and sets- "on-demand" question sets that are available to the participant at any time, or within time windows- condition-dependent question and set selection
