The F-Ready mobile application empowers the user with the ability to communicate their GPS location and alert status to three friends via any email address during, after or just prior to a disaster striking. The original “Disaster ID” application was designed to empower citizens caught in the aftermath of a disaster, such as a Hurricane or Tornado, with a method of visually signaling their location, condition and group makeup to their neighbors and/or first responders. When you first download the f-Ready app you will enter your name, phone number and the three emails of the friends who you would like to be alerted in case of an emergency. When you activate your f-Ready app you will not only change the screen to the appropriate Disaster ID color selection, you will also send your GPS coordinates and an alert message via email to the three friends you had entered. Your friends now know you are in need of assistance and know your GPS location. The friends can now go help you or call authorities with the information and tell them the GPS coordinates and to look for the illuminated signal coming from the phone.
