iEye Retina was also created to remind healthcare providers that an undilated ophthalmoscope exam can diagnose the leading causes of visual impairment in the United States while they are still asymptomatic. Though often omitted, patients with eye and/or vision complaints or those receiving a thorough history and physical should receive an ophthalmoscopic examination.
