The iWitness app turns your phone into an everyday personal safety device that provides extra security wherever you go. How it Works:

Any time you’re about to walk alone or in an unfamiliar setting, simply arm iWitness and then begin recording. The iWitness app will start capturing video and audio of your surroundings and sending that data to a secure server, along with your GPS location. At your option, a steady beam of light can also be emitted from your phone.

Any time you feel endangered, touch your phone’s screen to put iWitness into emergency mode, and then point the camera directly at the person or situation that feels threatening. iWitness will now:

- Prompt 911 in your dialer for you to call 911

- Sound an alarm

- Send a text/email to trusted contacts pre-chosen by you – alerting them that you feel endangered, providing your GPS location, and asking them to contact you
