This app is NOT a downloader. Also it is NOT designed as a music player, though it CAN be used for playing music. It is a pure PODCAST PLAYER, typically used for playing podcasts downloaded and transferred via PC or downloaded by some other app.

mp3podPlay lite equals mp3podPlay apart from the differences mentioned below.

mp3podPlay combines the ease of use of a hardware player with the potential of contemporary user interfaces.

As a pure podcast player it is specialized on comfortable playback and administration of podcast files that you download from the web and save in a local folder on your smartphone or tablet.

mp3podPlay podcast player just requires minimal rights (description below). E.g. it does not need a network connection.

Supported audio formats: mp3, WAV, Ogg Vorbis, WMA, m4a, mp4 (audio track)

– Folder Selection –

During the first start you select the base folder, which is scanned for podcast files including all of its subfolders. The base folder is used for each following start, until you select a different one.

– Full Control –

…over the playback position is provided by the buttons rewind, fast forward and the slider, which also shows the current position. The duration and position display fields show duration, current position and remaining time exact to the second.

– Control the App with the Headset Key –

Your headset hook key stops or starts playback, rewinds by 15, fast-forwards by 30 seconds or jumps to the previous or next track.

– Quick 4-Button-Navigation –

For Navigation between tracks the previous/next buttons plus the navigation list are available. There you can navigate through your podcasts very quickly via the four buttons “All“, “Station”, “Program” and “Track”. Read the short description in the online help or just give it a try.

– Bookmarks - set and recall simply and fast - in their original context –

Using the Bookmarks Menu in mp3podPlay lite you can set and recall two bookmarks very fast. The full version provides an easy-to-use bookmarks manager for up to twenty bookmarks. Bookmarks are automatically discarded, when the corresponding file does no more exist.

The context, for which the bookmark was set, is restored, when you recall the bookmark. This means, that all following tracks, which exist in the original context, are played afterwards.

– Online Help –

Selecting “Help” from the main menu takes you to a description of all functions, corresponding to the current display. To get to the “Bookmarks” topic the lite version provides a “Help” option in the bookmarks menu.
