youPunchin is a functional, user-controlled application for management of events and business-promotion for the entertainment and nightlife industry. Users create pages and events on the web version to promote their daily schedules, videos, pictures, music, and events for people to access to find out not only what that business/artist is doing, but also to find out what to do where they live/work. The Android application is

then used for not only mobile research, but as a functional tool at events for both the event management and guests. Guests bring tickets

stored in their account as a QR-code e-ticket while management uses the Android application for scanning these customers in at the door, tracking sales and attendance status. Guests also use our check-in service to check-in to created places' pages (bar, restaurant, deli - any food/drink place in the service industry) to redeem online coupons and offers for checking in. As the customer checks in, they are checking in with an employee of that place: therefore the employee gets a commission for getting checked in with, while the customer checking in gets some incentive for going to that place to spend money, and the place of course attracts customers, and has employees now promoting the place because they want people to check-in with them.
