This year, the Guardian Edinburgh TV Festival gets interactive with the new EdTVFest app.

As you'd expect from an app produced by award-winning interactive specialists Tellybug, you can take part live with many of the sessions, directly from the app. Plus of course you'll find the programme, and all the latest Festival news, videos, photos, and blogs.

Watch out for this 'Take Part' icon that appears beside an interactive session indicated in the programme, and also at the session itself. Then use the app to contribute. The type of interaction will vary depending on the session. For example:

* you can post send your messages to Ask The Controllers, whenever you like, through the App. Questions appear in the app, so you can vote up the good ones. And vote down the not so good ones.

* play along with our interactive Through the Keyhole session

* take part in polls and respond to questions when the panelists ask the audience

* Send in your questions anonymously to the panel during any interactive session. Rate those that you see in your app, with the most rated questions being asked by the session moderator.
