Elmia Wood MOREpeople helps visitors to the world’s biggest forestry fair, Elmia Wood 5–8 June 2013, to get even more from their visit. This app has several functions:

- A map of the fairground showing all the exhibitors (green pins) and the visitor’s own location. Other symbols show food stands, toilets and first aid stations.

- A list of participants who have voluntarily registered their name and contact details. This list helps you see what friends and acquaintances are at the fair and lets you contact them directly. Participants are also visible on the map (red pins) so your friends can now see where you are at the fair.

- The daily programme of events.

- News from Elmia Wood’s online news department providing up-to-the-minute news items and articles about interesting exhibitors during the fair. With this app you can read the news on your phone.

Under the “More” tab:

- “My profile” contains the contact info that you input. You also indicate here whether you will be visible on the map or not. If you activate “Background localisation” your position will be continually updated while you are at the fair site. If you only activate “Visible on the map” it will only show the location you were at last time you had this app on. NOTE! if you retain these settings your location will remain visible to other people even after the fair is over.

-Info. Includes opening hours, contact details for the fair plus a link to Elmia Wood’s online catalogue.

Elmia Wood is the world’s biggest forestry fair and is held every fourth year entirely in the woods south of Jönköping, Sweden. Here the world’s leading suppliers of forestry machinery, technology, accessories and services exhibit their products in a real-life situation. Elmia Wood has some 520 exhibitors and is expected to attract about 50,000 visitors from 50 countries. The biggest visitor groups are forest contractors, owners and administrators and forestry students.
