Heart Cam maesures the heart rate by using the phone camera to detect changes in light permeability of the fingertip. This changes are caused by pressure elevation in the blood vessels on every heart pulse.
The app uses ambient light, a device with LED-flash is not required (works also with HTC Mozart).
It takes 10 to 15 seconds until the heart rate is displayed in beats per minute. The graph must show an periodical signal. If not get sure that you have enough light and you covered the complete lens with your finger.
