You can recreate the life of former FC Bayern Munich president Kurt Landauer with this augmented reality app – either on-site in central Munich or from you couch at home with 360 degree panoramic views.

Kurt Landauer’s story is closely tied to the city of Munich. He came from an old-established family of merchants, gained fame as the president of FC Bayern and fell victim to the Nazi terror. Nonetheless, Landauer helped rebuild his clubafter the war.

His life can be recounted with the help of a few distinct places in central Munich. His parents’ fashion store, the venue of the championship celebrations of 1932, the sites of the Kristallnacht pogroms in 1938, the office of the FC Bayern that was destroyed in the Second World War – all of these places are located only a few hundred meters from each other. They form the stage for our augmented reality trail through the past.

In addition, BR, ARD Degeto and WDR commissioned Zeitsprung Pictures to produce a motion picture about the Jewish Bayern president under the direction of Hans Steinbichler. The BR also produced a TV documentary on Landauer.
