This is a simple and practical app for anyone who has made a DIY sensor and wants to see the output in either digital number or calibrated quantities. This could simply be body temperature, outside temperature, radiance for light intensity, irradiance for your sunphotometer, UV radiation meter, pressure, moisture, magnetic field, … what ever sensor you make. You simply send the measurement data in 16 bits (in 4 bytes but only 2 bytes are currently used, format is '00' followed by byte1byte2) to the Sensor View app on your Android phone and it will calibrate it and display the values dynamically. The calibration can handle linear and quadratic with changeable coefficients. You can change the unit to whatever matches your measurement.

There are many apps out there that display sensor outputs but most of them only work with the sensors inside your phone. Sensor View is designed for your DIY sensors in a separate box with Bluetooth connection. Allows the app to view the configuration of Bluetooth on the Android phone or tablet, and to make and accept connections with paired devices.

FULL NETWORK ACCESS

Allows the app to create network sockets and use custom network protocols. The browser and other applications provide means to send data to the internet, so this permission is not required to send data to the internet.
