SpellA is a simple game designed to help kids learn their spelling words. In particular, SpellA Year 5 Lite contains some essential words that Year 5 students (8-9 years of age) in New Zealand should know how to spell. Words to spell are spoken (in a Kiwi accent) and the player is given a number of tries to correctly spell the word. The game plays like a reverse hang man with the player selecting the next letter in the word to spell from a multiple choice letter selection (with Teddy losing parts until the word is spelt correctly).

Please note that no teddies were harmed in the production of this game.

SpellA Year 5 Lite only includes one word list with approximately 40 words to spell. The included list is the "commonly misspelt word list", the additional 5 lists are not playable in the lite version of the game but are unlocked in the standard edition (SpellA Year 5).
